Breakfast taco fans, there’s a new place to try on East Boulevard.
Ladybird Taco, a small chain based in Birmingham, Alabama, opened its Dilworth location on Sunday, Oct. 25, Axios Charlotte reports. It’s in the longtime home of Lebowski’s Neighborhood Grill, which closed last year, and it’s the chain’s fifth restaurant. The others are in Birmingham and Nashville.
On the menu: Texas-style breakfast and lunch tacos on flour or corn tortillas made in-house every day. The corn tortillas use heirloom corn. There are three house salsas: patrón, verde and roja. Axios says about a dozen tacos are priced from $4.05 to $5.30, and the menu also has queso, guacamole, salads and bowls. Coffee comes from Hex, and pastries come from Whisk & Wood.
Co-owners Brooks Veazey and Gabe Scott told Axios their go-to orders include the No. 1 with bacon, egg and Monterey Jack, the brisket-loaded No. 7 and the No. 6 migas taco.
There’s also a small side patio facing East Boulevard.
If you go: 1524 East Blvd. Open daily 6:30 a.m.–4 p.m.
